Together, we shape the future of our infrastructure The political municipality of Weesen with around 1'900 inhabitants is located in a unique position on Lake Walensee. A high quality of life, a well-maintained infrastructure, and a dedicated public works department characterize our attractive municipality. As part of a comprehensive organizational analysis, the municipal council has further developed the future orientation of the road construction, water supply, and public works department. This results in a newly designed management function that combines project management, leadership responsibility, and proximity to operational operations in a meaningful way. Head of Road Construction 80 – 100 % (a) Your task You take on a versatile management function with a large scope for design. Together with your team, you ensure that our infrastructure functions reliably and our municipality remains attractive and livable in the future. You coordinate demanding road construction and infrastructure projects, create sound decision-making bases for the municipal council, and accompany the implementation. At the same time, you support the head of the public works department and provide your expertise where needed. Your main tasks • Planning, organization, and accompaniment of road construction, road, water, sewage, and infrastructure projects • Coordination between the municipal council, administration, public works department, water supply, engineering offices, entrepreneurs, and cantonal specialist agencies • Participation in project and construction meetings as well as ongoing reporting to the municipal council • Independent management of smaller projects and collaboration on larger construction projects • Preparation of decision-making bases, loan applications, reports, and statements • Further development of maintenance standards and municipal infrastructure management Your profile You have completed training in the main or secondary construction trade (e.g., road construction, road construction, masonry, construction draughtsman, or comparable) and ideally have further training as a construction manager, technician HF, construction manager, or higher in a comparable field.
