Operating Room Nurse Manager at 80-100%

Our operating room offers a cutting-edge and high-performance multidisciplinary technical platform with eleven multi-site operating rooms at the La Chaux-de-Fonds and Pourtalès sites. On a daily basis, a dynamic and highly specialized team takes care of patients requiring scheduled or emergency surgical intervention. Your missions • Ensure the strategic and operational management of the operating room. • Manage the human resources of the operating room: operating field, anesthesia, recovery room, and sterilization; by assessing needs, adapting staffing to activity, developing skills (training), and promoting the teams. • Participate in the development of the operating grid, the distribution of shifts, and the weekly operating program, and ensure daily regulation, in collaboration with local managers and the doctors concerned. • Guarantee quality and safety in the operating room by deploying risk prevention and treatment procedures, ensuring hygiene and traceability, and evaluating the application of practices. • Collect and transmit the information necessary for the regulation of activity and correct dysfunctions. • Drive the objectives and projects of the operating room, in coordination with managers and medical-nursing teams in collaboration with other services, in order to ensure optimal and global care for patients. • Deploy, update, and enforce the operating room's operating charter, while ensuring the monitoring of operating room activity and performance indicators. Your profile • HES nursing diploma (or equivalent CRS-recognized title) with specialization in operating room (IDDO) or anesthesia (EPDES) • Authorization to practice a health profession in the canton of Neuchâtel • Federal specialist certificate in hospital management or the willingness to undertake it • Experience in managing operating room planning • Significant experience in team management within an operating room Your skills • Great flexibility, sense of anticipation, and organization • Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills • Sense of institution, equity, listening, rigor, and loyalty • Spirit of initiative, capacity for decision-making and delegation • Ability to identify and manage conflict situations • Openness to change and technological evolutions • Mastery of aseptic rules and good knowledge of operating room devices/equipment Additional information • Place of work: Pourtalès site in Neuchâtel with mobility to the La Chaux-de-Fonds site • Start date: from 1st November 2026 or to be agreed • Information: Monsieur Philippe Robin, Interim Department Nurse Manager Operating Room, +41 79 559 45 75
