It manages its general secretariat in Fribourg/Freiburg with 17 employees. Following a retirement, we are looking for a Deputy Secretary General (60 - 80%) starting *1 May 2027* or *by agreement* Your tasks • Contact person for HR matters for all employees of the Swiss Conference of Bishops association • Coordination of recruitment processes and interviews with staff • Management of the chancery and contact person for continuing education • Preparation, advisory, and minute-taking for general assemblies as well as meetings of the CES bureau • Project management for the general secretariat and collaboration in the drafting of documents • Member of the management and participation in the preparation of the CES budget • Representation of the CES general secretariat in certain thematic areas, mixed committees as well as during international events or conferences • Direction of the general secretariat in the absence of the Secretary General • Advisory in legal matters and in strategy development Your profile 1. Master's degree in law or higher education in the field of human resources 2. Professional experience in managing a small, motivated team 3. Personal attachment to ecclesial life as well as good knowledge of the structures of the Roman Catholic Church, particularly in Switzerland 4. Impeccable expression in German or French with excellent oral and written skills in the other language 5. Knowledge of Italian and English is an asset 6. Marked ability to collaborate with internal and external partners with diverse ecclesial perspectives 7.
