The Swiss Library Service Platform (SLSP) - with its headquarters in Zürich - is a service provider for libraries and operates the national library platform swisscovery together with them, which bundles scientific information from currently 500 libraries in Switzerland, making it easily accessible and easy to find. In addition, SLSP provides libraries with a common system platform for managing their holdings and processing their library services. At SLSP, you have flexible working hours, at least 5 weeks of vacation per year, a central workplace in the vicinity of the train station in Zürich, a co-working space in Lausanne, and the possibility of home office (remote work). To strengthen our Fulfillment team in the Network Services area, we are looking for a committed person as Data & System Specialist Circulation Services immediately or by arrangement. Your role You work in the Fulfillment team and are responsible, together with your colleagues, for the operation, configuration, and further development of central services related to lending, user services, and resource sharing within swisscovery. In doing so, you support libraries throughout Switzerland in using and optimizing their services in our product swisscovery (Alma, Rapido, and Primo VE). You work closely with the other SLSP teams and external stakeholders and contribute to ensuring that library users across Switzerland benefit from reliable and modern services. Your tasks Ensuring the smooth operation of the Fulfillment and Resource Sharing processes in swisscovery Configuration, maintenance, and optimization of workflows and services Processing support requests from our libraries in SLSP Support Analyzing new software releases and accompanying their introduction Creating and maintaining documentation on our SLSPhere platform Collaborating on projects and initiatives to further develop our services How you convince us Professionally, technically, and personally Library training or equivalent qualification Professional experience in lending, user services, or resource sharing with good knowledge of library processes and services Experience with Alma and/or Rapido and Primo VE is an advantage Technical understanding and interest in systems, data, and digital processes Good English skills and at least level B2 (oral and written) in German and/or French Structured, independent, and service-oriented work with a high sense of responsibility Our promise to you SLSP is committed to making scientific knowledge accessible, networking, and sustainably disseminating it in multilingual Switzerland.
