Our client is committed to the fight against poverty and mitigating its consequences, in Switzerland and in about twenty countries around the world. An independent association with approximately 1 500 employees, Caritas Suisse is headquartered in Lucerne and is part of the international Caritas network. In collaboration with autonomous regional organizations, it offers a wide range of services and projects in the fields of poverty reduction, migration and social integration. These offers are particularly aimed at families, single parents, unemployed persons and the working poor. We have been mandated to recruit an authentic and upright personality for the position of Management. You are responsible for human resources, finance and operations, and ensure the development of the organization. In close collaboration with the general management, you implement the strategy and ensure the reconciliation of mission, impact and economic viability. Through clear decisions and open dialogue, you set the course, establish trust and promote an organizational culture based on respect. You collaborate closely with the statutory bodies and ensure the preparation and follow-up of their work. You also represent Caritas Suisse to authorities, politicians, partner organizations, donors, the general public and the media, while developing and strengthening its national and international networks. To perform this function with varied responsibilities, you hold a university degree at master's level or an equivalent qualification, supplemented, depending on your field of specialty, by in-depth training in business administration and/or management of non-profit organizations. You have led organizations of comparable size and complexity, at different hierarchical levels, and have successfully led change processes. You have solid management skills, demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and know how to drive innovation. You know how to mobilize teams around common objectives and approach demanding challenges with pragmatism and a sense of solutions. You identify with the values and mission of Caritas Suisse and express yourself with ease in German, French and English. You are present three days a week at the main headquarters in Lucerne, you travel regularly to other sites in Switzerland and are available for approximately two trips abroad as well as several international meetings per year.
