Berne, Suisse (and home office) \| 90-90% What you can contribute to <br /> • Calculate the quarterly GDP; more precisely, manage a component of the GDP • Refine the methods and processes of calculation and estimation, from design to application • Pursue the development of R packages and internal IT projects in collaboration with other departments • Develop and manage short-term forecasting systems and projection models • Regularly write and present reports on the economic situation • Evaluate current macroeconomic themes and conduct quantitative analyses <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • Studies in economic sciences focused on quantitative economics or studies in data science/statistics combined with good knowledge of macroeconomics • Ideally, professional experience in the corresponding field, doctorate or other postgraduate degree • Technical orientation; preferably, experience in programming in R language and IT projects • Liveliness, result-oriented work method and ability to work in a team • Sense of initiative and responsibility as well as ease of transposing into practice; ability to propose ideas and improvements • Very good active knowledge of two official languages and good oral and written knowledge of English <br /> In a few words The Conjoncture sector is responsible for economic analysis on behalf of the Confederation. Based in particular on the R statistical analysis software, it calculates the quarterly GDP, studies the evolution of the economic situation and establishes the Confederation's economic forecasts. It continuously develops its methods, processes and work models, and is looking for a person to support it in this approach, someone who is innovative, able to lead projects autonomously.
