YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Responsibility for the global cyber defense strategy as well as the continuous development of all security operations capabilities in close coordination with the CISO
• Functional and disciplinary leadership of the Cyber Defense team as well as steering of the internal and external Security Operations Center (SOC)
• Ensuring effective detection, analysis, and defense of cyber threats through Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and Security Monitoring
• Responsibility for Security Engineering and Detection Engineering as well as the further development of the security tool stack (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, Cloud and Identity Security)
• Steering of Exposure Management including Vulnerability Management, Attack Surface Management, as well as Security Posture Management
• Assumption of overall responsibility during critical cyber incidents and crisis situations as well as conducting Lessons Learned and continuous improvement measures
• Management of security service providers and technology partners as well as regular reporting of risks, incidents, and maturity levels to management and executives

YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• More than 8 years of professional experience in the field of Cyber Security, of which at least 5 years in leadership roles within Cyber Defense, Security Operations, or Security Operations Center (SOC)
• Demonstrable experience in the construction, further development, or steering of internal as well as external (Managed) Security Operations Services
• Sound knowledge in Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, and Exposure Management in complex enterprise environments
• Distinct understanding of modern attack methods as well as the ability to analyze threats from an attacker's perspective and recognize them at an early stage
• In-depth expertise in SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, Identity, and Cloud Security solutions as well as hybrid IT landscapes
• High leadership and communication competence with experience in leading international teams and in stakeholder management at different levels
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC or comparable qualifications are an advantage
