Questions regarding the application Sabrina Gerber IT for the internal security of Switzerland The ÜPF service ensures the efficient and effective monitoring of postal and telecommunications traffic. It supports the prevention and investigation of criminal activities, thereby making an important contribution to the internal security of Switzerland while simultaneously protecting the fundamental rights of the population. Additionally, within the framework of emergency searches, it ensures the provision of relevant information to be able to quickly locate persons in danger. Furthermore, the ÜPF service is the central interface between the various law enforcement agencies and the communication service providers.
