For our Operational Technology Engineering team in Basel, we are looking for a committed personality who maintains and develops our production systems and actively participates in the digitalization of our production processes. In doing so, you will work closely with the technical, IT and production departments and make an important contribution to the further development of our production sites.

Your tasks:

• Ensuring the reliable operation of our OT systems in the production environment, especially in the area of SCADA as well as MES and WMS systems
• Configuring, commissioning and further developing automation solutions as well as supporting technical malfunctions in 3rd-level support
• Developing automation concepts and feasibility studies for the optimization and digitalization of our production processes
• Integrating new automation systems into the existing system landscape as well as performing functional and integration tests
• Collaboration and taking on responsibility in projects related to Operational Technology, automation and Smart Factory
• Evaluating suitable hardware, controllers and software solutions as well as close cooperation with the technical, IT and production departments

What you bring with you:

• Completed basic technical training, for example as an automation technician (Automatiker/in) or in a comparable technical profession, with further training at HF/FH level, for example in automation, systems engineering or a related field, as well as strong IT understanding
• Experience in the field of automation or industrial IT, ideally in food production, logistics, process or industrial automation
• Good knowledge in the maintenance of IT systems, especially Windows environments, servers and networks
• Experience in the development of automation concepts as well as understanding for the integration and communication of different systems
• Knowledge in PLC programming and visualization, for example with Siemens S7, TIA Portal or WinCC V7/V8, is an advantage
• Very good German and good English skills in spoken and written form
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working as well as enjoyment in collaborating with different specialist departments
