Our team in the Department of Building Construction is responsible for the areas of building permits, urban planning, real estate, energy and sports. As Head of the Building Permits department, you are responsible for the building permit process up to and including the final inspection. You lead a team of specialists from the departments of building permits, building inspection, fire police as well as the civil protection control body. All team members have many years of experience in their fields of activity. For this newly created position, we are looking for an immediately or by arrangement, a strong leadership personality or an ambitious rising talent with sound professional competence as Head of Building Permits 80 – 100 % YOUR TASKS IN THIS FUNCTION ARE: You assume the personnel and organizational leadership of the Building Permits department and actively shape its further development. With your team, you ensure the legally secure execution of the building permit process and advise the applicants. You coordinate building appeal processes and ensure a smooth workflow. You accompany the processes in the area of monument preservation. You draft and review building permits and ensure a high quality of decisions. You actively contribute your expertise to the meetings of the building authority. YOUR PROFILE FITS EXCELLENTLY IF YOU: Enjoy working in a pulsating environment with a lively team. Have professional experience and good knowledge of planning and building law in the Canton of Zürich. Possess leadership competence, ideally rounded off with further training. Have been able to gain experience in project management. Advantageously already have knowledge of CMI (Bau) and eBaugesuch. Have very good oral and written expression in German.
