The Gemeindeverband Sozialbereiche des Bezirks Rheinfelden GSBR was founded in 1980.
It is an organization of regional municipalities with social offerings and services. The association is supported by 14 member municipalities that utilize services in various forms. The GSBR (approx. 80 employees) comprises the areas of the head office, specialist office for personal counseling, professional guardianship, school social service, speech therapy service, mother and father advisory service, and asylum care.

For the overall management and future-oriented further development of our association, we are looking for a committed and convincing leadership personality as

Managing Director (80 – 100%)

at the Rheinfelden location, starting on or after agreement.

Your task:

• Leading the head office and managing the specialist areas
• Bearing the overall operational responsibility for the association
• Steering the business within the framework of the strategic specifications of the Board
• Representing the association externally and shaping its public perception
• Together with the area managers, ensuring that the association's services are provided to a high qualitative standard, in accordance with needs, and economically
• Reporting and close cooperation with the Board and the supporting municipalities

Your profile:

• Experienced leadership personality with a pronounced understanding of social and societal issues
• Completed tertiary-level studies in a field relevant to the function (Social Work, Social Sciences, Public Management, or Business Administration)
• Ideally with additional qualifications in areas such as coaching, mediation, or conflict management
• Several years of demonstrably successful leadership experience in the strategic further development of organizations and services, as well as in personnel, organizational, and financial responsibility
• Good understanding of the professional, legal, and political framework conditions of social services
• Entrepreneurial thinking and a confident handling of finances, resources, and steering instruments
• Experience in collaborating with political authorities and various stakeholders
• Convincing, appreciative, and dialogue-oriented leadership personality with decisiveness, empathy, and high personal integrity
