Social Worker at kjz Meilen

The Amt für Jugend und Berufsberatung (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. The kjz (Kinder- und Jugendhilfezentrum) is a polyvalent counseling center for families, parents, adolescents, children, and toddlers and works on the basis of the Child and Youth Welfare Act of the Canton of Zürich.

For the Department of Social Work and Mandates at kjz Meilen, we are looking for a social worker (70-100%) to complement our team as of 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.

You will advise and accompany children, adolescents, mothers, and fathers within the framework of child protection measures and on a voluntary basis. You will also conduct assessments in cases of child welfare endangerment on behalf of the KESB. In fulfilling your tasks, you will work closely with authorities, schools, other institutions, and specialist centers.

You bring with you:

• completed training in Social Work at a university of applied sciences
• experience in youth and family welfare and ideally in mandate management
• a negotiating, goal-oriented, and assertive personality
• high social competence as well as good written and oral communication skills
• systemic thinking skills and enjoyment of administrative activities
