Logistics Service Associate (m/f/d)

Job Description

Avantor is looking for a Logistics Service Associate (m/f/d) for the support of our Inventory Services team for an immediate start.

This role is best suited for individuals who already bring experience in logistics from a regulated environment (preferably GMP) and would like to enter the pharma world.

This is a permanent full-time position. Your place of work would be our customer site, a leading

pharmaceutical company in Basel. In addition to an attractive basic salary and regular working hours, we offer a performance-related annual bonus, as well as a pension supplement. Interested? Apply today!

Working hours: Monday-Friday; start between 06:00-07:30 and thereafter 8 hours daily (40 hours/week)

What you bring with you

Education: Completed vocational training as a logistics specialist or laboratory technician (m/f/d) or comparable professional experience

Professional experience:

• Initial experience in logistics, especially in handling chemicals or other hazardous goods
• IT knowledge (SAP, Excel, Outlook, MS Office, etc.)
• Very good German skills
• Good English skills are an advantage
• Service-oriented mindset
• GMP experience is an advantage

Your profile

These tasks await you

Monitoring and execution of the daily logistics service tasks such as

• Management of a Point of Use / Point of Solvent

o inventory control

o triggering orders

o goods withdrawal/goods receipt

o optimizing storage locations according to product sizes and frequency of access

o correct recording and forwarding of data

o administration (communication with suppliers, customers)

o order and cleanliness

• Disposal of various wastes according to guidelines, such as glassware, paper, solvents, chemical wastes (LENTSO), etc.
• Coordination with other service providers (cleaning company for lab clothing, equipment service and repairs, shipping)
• Washing of glass and plasticware
• Assisting in the creation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the various laboratory service activities.
• Strict compliance with the safety regulations of Avantor and customers
• Implementation of the workflows required by Avantor (GEMBA Walks, ABS)
