This is the contribution you can make

• Conduct scientific research on the adaptation of the Ukrainian armed forces since 2014
• Analyze Ukrainian strategy, military doctrine, organization, training, and equipment
• Synthesize scientific literature, open-source information, and expert interviews
• Collaborate on scientific publications and teaching materials
• Support the presentation and communication of research results
• Develop interdisciplinary expertise in modern warfare as well as current armed forces development for the benefit of teaching and research

What makes you unique

• Completed university degree (Master) in history, political science, strategic studies, international relations, military sciences, or a related field, ongoing doctorate possible
• Strong interest in modern warfare, armed forces development, and the war in Ukraine
• Experience in scientific working and the analysis of complex issues
• Independent and reliable way of working
• Ability to work in a team, initiative, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research as well as exchange with scientific and military partners (preferably officer)
• Good active knowledge of English, Ukrainian and/or Russian

The Training Command (Kdo Ausb) is responsible for training within the Swiss Army -- from recruitment through general basic training to cadre training for the militia and professional military. The Kdo Ausb includes the Higher Cadre Training, Army Personnel, five training associations, the training center, as well as the specialist office for women in the army and diversity. One third of the approximately 2'350 employees work in civilian professions in the scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative, or sporting field and contribute to success together with the professional military.

The Swiss Army employs over 9'000 employees in four military and around 200 civilian professions -- and this at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. Provision is also made for new talent: The Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
