Team Lead Medical Service / Dipl. Nurse 80 - 100% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted individuals and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. The newly created main department Medical Service ensures the medical-somatic basic care for incarcerated persons in all justice execution institutions in the Canton of Zurich. As a central organizational unit, it guarantees harmonized and high-quality healthcare according to the equivalence principle and works closely with the Psychiatric-Psychological Service and the JuWe institutions. At the Gefängnis Zürich West (GZW), we are in service to the population 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. Our tasks and challenges are diverse, but we master them together as a team. To complement the Medical Service, we are looking for you immediately or by arrangement.   This is your field of activity ### • You are the motivating head of a team and lead it according to our innovative leadership principles - trust, letting go, experimenting • As a team leader, you not only organize the medical, dental, psychiatric, and psychological basic care of the inmates, but also bear the professional responsibility for health promotion, infection prevention, and hygiene • Your organizational expertise is demonstrated in the efficient planning and implementation of somatic, psychological, and psychiatric consultations to ensure the comprehensive basic health care of the inmates • Through active contribution of your professional expertise and participation in decisions within the management team, you contribute significantly to the development of the health service and the GZW • As a decisive personality, you support the recruitment of new employees and thus actively shape the team • Promoting smooth cooperation in an interdisciplinary treatment and care team lies in your hands. You are the central contact person for internal and external partners on health matters • Your sense of responsibility also extends to medication management and the careful administration of medications to ensure safe and effective care This is what you bring with you ### • You appreciate working in an interdisciplinary and dynamic environment. With training in psychiatric or somatic health and nursing (DN II, HF or FH), you bring the required expertise • The role model role suits you: you promote a culture of mutual support and joint learning through your behavior, are solution-oriented, and approach conflicts constructively • You bring extensive experience in acute care, ideally in an emergency department or in psychiatry. It is an advantage if you have already worked in a leading function • You can express yourself very well in writing and orally in German.
