Senior Data Platform Engineer (Azure & Databricks) 80-100%

You do not want to just operate modern data solutions, but actively develop and improve them. In the Data & AI Center of Excellence of the Kantonsspital Baden, you will help shape the central data and AI platform for analytics, reporting, and AI applications. In doing so, you will work with Azure, Databricks, and modern cloud technologies and bring your experience directly into the further development of the platform. The position is available immediately or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

• You operate and further develop our Azure and Databricks platform and ensure stable and reliable operation.
• You automate infrastructure, deployment, and operational processes with Terraform, Git, and CI/CD and continuously further develop existing processes.
• You develop and optimize data pipelines and data products and support the implementation of dashboards and AI applications.
• You record requirements from internal stakeholders and specialist departments, advise on technical possibilities, and translate these into suitable productive solutions.
• You support Data Scientists and Data Engineers in bringing analytics, machine learning, and GenAI solutions reliably into productive operation.
• You improve the stability, security, performance, and cost-efficiency of the platform and evaluate new technologies for their concrete benefit.

Profile ##

• You bring several years of practical experience as a Data Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a comparable role.
• You have very good knowledge of Azure, Azure Databricks, Python, SQL, and Apache Spark.
• You have experience with Terraform, Git, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
• You know the structure and operation of modern cloud data platforms from practice.
• You work independently, pragmatically, and solution-oriented and find suitable solutions even for complex technical challenges.
• You enjoy communicating with internal stakeholders and specialist departments and can convey technical contexts in an understandable manner.
• Experience with medical data, HL7/FHIR, or in the healthcare sector is an advantage.
• You have very good German and English skills.
