School Social Worker (HF/FH)

LERNBAHN is a brand of SCHAFFHAUSER SONDERSCHULEN and is an independent public law institution of the Canton of Schaffhausen. More than 480 children and adolescents with a physical and/or cognitive impairment, with a speech, hearing, or other profound developmental impairment, are currently being educated and supported by us integratively in the regular schools of the Canton or separatively at four locations in the city of Schaffhausen. In addition to various therapy offers, we operate an after-school sector with lunch service, daily structure, and boarding school. Over 570 employees in various functions are engaged every day with a lot of expertise and passion for the well-being of the children and adolescents. At our Bleicheplatz location, you will accompany children and adolescents from primary school age to secondary school level with challenging behavior. At the same time, you will become part of a small team that actively develops a school and its socio-pedagogical offering. Your ideas are welcome and can sustainably help shape the everyday life of the children and adolescents. Your contribution ### You accompany children and adolescents with challenging behavior through their school everyday life and provide them with orientation, security, and structure. In doing so, you work closely with teachers as well as other specialists. Your everyday life includes: ### • You accompany children and adolescents during lessons, at lunchtime, and in the leisure area. • You support them in building social competencies and successfully managing their school everyday life. • You act calmly, solution-oriented, and reliably in challenging situations. • You develop individual promotion goals together with the interdisciplinary team and implement them in everyday life. • You work together with parents and caregivers so that development also succeeds beyond the school everyday life. • You contribute your ideas and actively help shape the further development of the socio-pedagogical offering. What you bring with you ### • Completed training as a Social Worker HF or FH. • Experience or interest in accompanying children and adolescents with challenging behavior. • Patience, sense of responsibility, and a clear, appreciative attitude. • Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation. • Ideally a practical trainer training (PA) or the willingness to complete it.
