The members of the Institute Board are elected for four years by the Federal Council and must disclose their conflicts of interest. Member with profound knowledge in the financial sector for the Institute Board of the Eidgenössisches Institut für Geistiges Eigentum Active participation in the strategic development of the IGE Accompanying and monitoring the implementation of the strategic objectives of the Federal Council Supervision and strategic support of the Directorate Issuing the personnel and fee regulations as well as submitting them to the Federal Council for approval Ensuring an internal control system adapted to the IGE as well as a risk and compliance management system Determining the composition of the Directorate with the exception of the Director and determining the terms of employment of all members of the Directorate Participation in two ordinary Institute Board meetings per year Excellent knowledge of strategic financial management as well as the long-term financial orientation of a public or federal organization Profound knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, balance sheet preparation, as well as the financial management of organizations Very good knowledge of the tasks and responsibilities of a strategic supervisory body as well as of good governance in a public environment High social competence that enables teamwork and conflict resolution Knowledge of the function of intellectual property protection systems at national and international levels is an advantage Very good knowledge of two official languages and good English skills Independence from functions or mandates that could lead to conflicts of interest with the tasks as a member of the Institute Board of the IGE In a nutshell You contribute expertise, strategic foresight, and independence to effectively accompany and further develop the IGE as the federal competence center for the protection of innovation and creativity.
