To support this mission, the Syngenta hiring team is looking for a Maintenance Coordinator Onsite in Kaisten, Switzerland.  The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the management and further development of the maintenance management system as well as for the coordination of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. In addition, the role actively takes on tasks in the area of Reliability Engineering - with the goal of systematically increasing plant reliability and implementing programs for mechanical integrity and plant safety at the site. Tasks: Maintenance Coordination • Use, maintenance, and further development of the Maintenance Management System in the SAP environment (PM module) • Planning, coordination, and support of maintenance activities during normal operations as well as during shutdown phases • Creation and further development of maintenance plans in cooperation with technical staff and specialist experts • Monitoring the implementation of the preventive maintenance program to ensure plant availability and compliance with legal and Syngenta-internal requirements • Coordination and support in the use of external tradespeople and issuing orders to external specialist companies • Management of the technical spare parts warehouse as well as procurement of technical materials and services • Building and maintaining equipment and plant history • Creation of reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance program • Creating, elaborating, and updating work instructions and technical documentation   Reliability Engineering • Support and leadership of initiatives for the mechanical integrity of the plants • Support and leadership of the implementation of global programs, e.g., safety-critical plants, criticality analysis, and associated FMECA analyses • Further development of the reliability program at the site, including a condition monitoring program and measures derived therefrom, evaluation of results from tests and inspections • Support and maintenance of the Bad Actor program: systematic recording and processing of plants and components that repeatedly cause malfunctions • Leading or participating in projects for reliability enhancement and continuous improvement Qualifications ## • Completed vocational training in a technical field (e.g., polymechanic, plant or industrial mechanic, electrical engineering, or similar) • Technical further education, e.g., technician HF, master, or comparable - an advantage • Very good SAP knowledge, especially in the PM module • Basic knowledge of Reliability Engineering methods (FMECA, RCM, RCA, Condition Monitoring) is an advantage • Experience using SAP in maintenance • Experience in the maintenance of process technology or chemical production plants • Experience in the planning and coordination of shutdown phases (*Shutdowns*) is an advantage • Knowledge in the area of plant reliability and/or mechanical integrity is an advantage • Independent, structured, and reliable way of working • Analytical thinking skills and ability to prioritize in a complex environment • Teamwork skills and constructive cooperation with internal and external partners • Strong communication skills and confident appearance towards service providers and project partners • Very good German skills (native speaker or equivalent); English skills are an advantage • Judgment: ability to make sound technical decisions within one's own responsibility • Execution and result-oriented: consistent implementation of measures until completion Additional Information ## What we offer: We offer a variety of financial and non-financial benefits, including: • We offer a position that contributes to valuable and impactful work in an inspiring and international environment • An excellent working environment with an open culture and diverse workforce, where new ideas are always welcome • The opportunity to work with and learn from highly qualified and experienced employees and to achieve scientific and technical excellence • Learning culture (Together we Grow) and a wide range of training opportunities • You benefit from a competitive pension fund plan, flexible working models, an attractive bonus system, company doctor, fitness room, and canteen.
