Lead Engineer Plasma-Anlage (a) (100%) WHAT YOU DO HERE IS IMPORTANT Together with you, we are committed to ensuring that clean electricity is also safe. We are the interim storage facility for nuclear waste and a high-tech recycling company. In doing so, we separate radioactive from non-radioactive waste with the utmost care and return 90 percent of the delivered material to the recycling loop. We securely seal the rest for decades. Our Plasma-Anlage is the first facility of its kind worldwide. To safely prepare low-level waste for interim and subsequent final disposal, it is thermally decomposed and melted using a high-performance plasma torch. For this unique and demanding environment, we are looking for a strong personality who brings their own sound practical experience and combines it synergistically with the deep knowledge of our well-coordinated expert team. As part of an upcoming major project, you will directly take over the leadership of an important sub-project – the ideal opportunity to familiarize yourself deeply with the Plasma-Anlage. IMPORTANT TASKS AWAIT YOU: Plant Management: Technical leadership of the Plasma-Anlage during campaign operation and ensuring schedule, financial, and material objectives. Project-based Induction: Taking over the leadership of a sub-project as part of a large reconstruction project. This will allow you to get to know the Plasma-Anlage from the ground up and familiarize yourself optimally. Practical Cooperation: Actively contributing your own experience in operation and maintenance to the strategic further development of the plant together with our experienced team. Process Optimization and Analysis: Analyzing operating parameters, malfunctions, and error patterns to continuously optimize the world-unique technology technically. Maintenance and Infrastructure: Planning and organizing maintenance measures and contributing your know-how in hydraulics and pneumatics. Knowledge Transfer and Training: Maintaining plant documentation, creating operating regulations, and applying your skill in adult education to optimally promote the shift personnel. Resources and Shift Planning: Bearing responsibility for personnel deployment planning (shift schedules), creating feeding lists, and procuring operating and work equipment. Safety and Interface: Ensuring seamless compliance with safety and radiation protection regulations, providing advice on reconstruction projects, and performing on-call service during plant operation. WHAT DISTINGUISHES YOU: Successfully completed engineering studies (FH/HS) in a technical field (e.g., process, mechanical, electrical engineering, or chemistry/metallurgy) – a technical basic vocational training is an advantage. Experience in the maintenance, commissioning, and operation of thermal process plants Experience in project management Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge Knowledge in adult education High sense of responsibility, reliable way of working, organizational talent Very good German skills in spoken + written (at least Level C2) Enjoyment of teamwork and close cooperation across departmental boundaries.
