Le Centre hospitalier Bienne is the public medical center of the bilingual Bienne-Seeland-Jura bernois (Switzerland) region. It offers the entire population comprehensive care in all specialized fields of modern medicine. Every year, more than 150'000 patients place their trust in us. The emergency department of Le Centre hospitalier Bienne is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It takes care of approximately 27 000 patients each year. The emergency department is a category 2 postgraduate training institution recognized by the SSMUS for obtaining the complementary certificate in hospital emergency medicine and in general internal medicine category IV, outpatient.
A modern emergency practice, managed by the emergency staff, is also attached to it. We also provide training for certificates of competence in abdominal ultrasound and POCUS (thoracic ultrasound, emergency ultrasound, echocardiography).

Your tasks - our position

• Treatment of emergency patients in our dynamic and exciting emergency department as a senior emergency physician
• Integration into the interdisciplinary emergency team, composed of senior emergency physicians, resident doctors and chief residents in rotation, emergency care physicians and junior doctors as well as specialist doctors from different sub-specialties
• Participation in the supervision of junior doctors

Your skills - our expectations

• The position is intended for specialist doctors in general internal medicine with specialization in hospital emergency medicine (or about to become one).
• Professional experience in Switzerland
• In-depth knowledge of emergency ultrasound
• Passion for emergency medicine and high stress resistance
• Committed, motivated and proactive person, ready to participate decisively in the development of our emergency medicine in a constantly changing environment
• Good command of German or French (spoken/written); good knowledge of the other language is imperative (minimum level B1)
