Bern (and home office) | 80-80% Your contribution <br /> • Perform sample checks at physical points of sale, via the internet or by telephone • Carry out targeted evaluations based on substantiated indications • Request or order/arrange corrections of declarations • Deal with the resolution of execution problems and the drafting of reports for the competent authorities (Federal Council, Parliament, journalists, public opinion) • Follow international developments and participate in European and international events on the subject of wood, representing the interests of Switzerland. <br /> What distinguishes you <br /> • Possession of a university or SUP diploma as a wood engineer or a federal diploma from a higher specialized school (master carpenter or wood technician) constitutes a preferential qualification • Know-how in the wood sector with several years of work experience • Autonomy and problem-solving skills; conceptual and analytical abilities, systemic vision • Organizational skills, drafting skills, insight • Sensitivity in communicating with different interest groups • Active mastery of two official languages and passive knowledge of the third. Knowledge of English is welcome. <br /> In summary For the implementation of the declaration obligation concerning wood and wood products, the Federal Office for Consumer Affairs (UFDC) is looking for a person endowed with flexibility and capable of working under pressure. The person hired will have the task of controlling the declaration obligation on the Swiss market based on the type and origin of the wood. In this position, it acts as an intermediary between the population, consumer organizations, and the Confederation. The UFDC participates in the legislative process and performs various tasks in the fields of information, consumer education, and product safety. It actively follows international developments and is represented in various national and international commissions. The UFDC also directs the secretariat of the Federal Consumer Affairs Commission and is responsible for the implementation of the declaration obligation concerning wood and wood products.
