Quality Engineer 80 - 100 % (m/f/d)

The Robotics business unit develops, produces and distributes liquid handling automation pipetting robots for a wide range of customers, from the pharmaceutical and food industry to cell and DNA research.

How you can make a difference:

Research and Development area:

• Development of safety concepts for development projects
• Responsibility for compliance with standards for developed products
• Responsible for the planning and execution of product safety tests within the project team (environmental simulation, safety tests, EMC tests, transport tests, biological safety tests)
• Monitoring of product approvals (EU directives, international approvals CSA, UL, IVDR, GxP, machinery directive, etc.)
• Collaboration with Reno (USA) regarding approvals such as CSA, FDA, UL for new global product developments
• Training employees in the field of regulatory compliance

Maintenance area:

• Keeping up to date the standards applicable to all standard devices
• Responsibility for verifications during product modifications or updates to standards

Customized Solutions area:

• Responsible for compliance with safety standards for customized solutions

What you bring:

• Degree in engineering sciences, preferably in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable technical field (university/specialized technical college)
• Experience in quality management / quality assurance
• Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IVDR 2017/746; GxP, FDA) as well as ensuring regulatory requirements and quality standards
• In-depth knowledge of machinery, low voltage and EMC directives
• Project management skills
• Strong analytical skills, communication ease, team spirit and solution-oriented approach
• Precise, quality-oriented and autonomous working method
• Great organizational capacity, conflict resolution skills and assertiveness even in demanding projects
• Excellent communication skills, including in an international environment
• Very good written and oral knowledge in German and English (C1 level)
