At the same time, you are actively involved in the GMP-compliant execution of release testing and in-process controls. In doing so, you work with various chromatographic, spectroscopic, and wet chemical analytical methods and make an important contribution to ensuring the quality of our life-saving products.
Competencies and responsibilities
- Support the group management in the technical and organizational leadership of the QC Chemistry team as well as assuming technical and personnel responsibility for approximately eight employees in their absence.
- Execution, evaluation, and GMP-compliant documentation of release testing and in-process controls using chromatographic (HPLC, UPLC, IC), spectroscopic (FAAS, GFAAS), and wet chemical analytical methods.
- Ensuring the technical and timely reporting of OOE-/OOS results and deviations in compliance with applicable quality specifications.
- Creation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as technical review of method and equipment documentation.
- Collaboration with the responsible development teams in the optimization and validation of analytical methods as well as support in the evaluation of new analytical procedures.

- Technical induction of new employees as well as occasional support in the training of apprentices in the profession of Laborant EFZ, specialty in chemistry.
- Active participation in the continuous improvement of laboratory processes, analytical procedures, and quality standards within the area of responsibility.
Qualifications and professional experience
- Completed studies (FH/university) in the field of chemistry or training as Laborant EFZ, specialty in chemistry, with many years of relevant professional experience.
- Sound practical experience in instrumental analysis, especially with chromatographic and spectroscopic procedures.
- Experience in a cGMP-regulated laboratory environment as well as a strong sense of quality and responsibility.
- Strong leadership potential as well as the motivation to take responsibility for a team and to support and further develop employees technically and personally; initial leadership experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Independent, careful, and structured way of working as well as a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and sense of responsibility.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, assertiveness, as well as a service- and solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent German skills as well as very good English skills in speaking and writing.

- Your daily work includes different analytical procedures, including chromatography, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry, as well as collaboration with various internal specialist departments.
- The position offers you the opportunity to combine your technical expertise with leadership responsibility and to further develop your leadership skills.
