Residenz Au Lac is a lively place in the heart of Biel, between the station and the lake. Around 110 seniors live with us in apartments as well as 50 residents in the nursing department. They are at the center of our actions. At the same time, we see ourselves as an open meeting place with diverse gastronomy, cultural and social offerings, as well as modern seminar and event rooms. Around 120 committed employees ensure every day that people feel comfortable with us.

You will take responsibility for buildings, technology, people and projects. Your field of activity includes Residenz Au Lac and other buildings as well as mandates in our immediate vicinity, including the new Maison de la Santé. In doing so, you combine building operations, property management and infrastructure in a versatile and future-oriented environment.
You report directly to the Head of Hospitality & Infrastructure, a member of the executive board. In close cooperation, you will shape the further development of our infrastructure, processes and services. The function offers great creative freedom and the chance to significantly help shape the future organization and way of working of the building operations.

Your tasks

• Operational control: You lead the operational building operations, coordinate resources and priorities and ensure effective organization and control of the operations.
• Leadership and team development: You lead and develop a team of 3 to 4 employees who support you in the technical coordination of daily operations, property responsibility, in projects as well as in operational execution. In doing so, you ensure clear responsibilities, use individual strengths specifically and promote effective cooperation.
• Technical operations, safety and building technology: You ensure the safe, sustainable and economical operation of our buildings and facilities and take an active role in technical matters.
• Services: You continuously develop our infrastructural services together with your team and ensure a safe, well-maintained and service-oriented environment for residents, tenants, guests and employees
• Operational daily business: You are close to your team and stakeholders, pitch in if necessary and, together with your team, ensure that operations function reliably.
• Property management: You ensure the operational care of our other properties and mandates, including the new Maison de la Santé, and coordinate cooperation with tenants, partners and service providers.
• Projects and further development: You lead infrastructure and optimization projects and actively contribute your expertise to higher-level development and investment projects.

What you bring with you

• Basic technical training; further training in Facility Management or a comparable specialist field is an advantage
• Several years of leadership experience in building operations, Facility Management or a comparable technical service organization
• Experience in the operation of buildings and technical systems as well as in projects, optimizations and change projects
• Joy in leading employees, developing potential and actively shaping cooperation
• Entrepreneurial thinking, organizational skills as well as the ability to combine conceptual work with operational presence
• Strong service orientation and joy in interacting with seniors, tenants, guests, partners and employees
• Confidence in using digital work tools as well as openness to new technologies and ways of working
• Very good German and good French skills or vice versa
