## MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE POST As a substitute teacher at Collège du Léman, your mission is the management of a class on an ad hoc basis and according to the needs of the Preschool and Primary departments. You create a reassuring and stimulating environment, a positive relationship to the class and to learning, in which students are encouraged to become autonomous and active participants in their learning.  You thus allow each student to appropriate the expected fundamental knowledge and skills and to awaken their interest in the world around them.  You work on call and are paid hourly.  ## MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure the safety and well-being of students ; • Teach the French and Mathematics curriculums of the French National Education and implement Nord Anglia Initiatives in your teaching ; • Promote the school's RISE values as well as a positive discipline approach; • Work in a team to ensure horizontal and vertical coherence ; • Keep a class journal and a detailed planning in accordance with the programs of Collège du Léman ; • Propose varied, differentiated teaching adapted to the needs of each student while respecting the programs of Collège du Léman ; • Identify potential behavioral and learning difficulties and contact the academic support team if necessary ; ## COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS   • Dynamism, flexibility and availability • Rigor, patience, and great sense of listening • Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skills • Open-mindedness and development spirit • Excellent communication skills • Required language: French native speaker  ## Qualifications • Teaching diploma in Primary school (PGCE, CRPE or MEEF mention 1er degré, Bachelor of Science/Arts in Primary Education from HEP, or equivalent) mandatory.    Experience • Successful experience in teaching, ideally in an international environment. ## ESSENTIAL INFORMATION It is important that the job holder is always aware of the directives relating to child protection and that they observe a professional distance with the students, while developing effective and caring working relationships.
