IDT currently manages and maintains approximately 4'300 workstations, 280 servers, 4'800 user accounts in the educational network and 800 user accounts in the administrative domain. We are looking for immediately or by agreement for a ### Your tasks: As a system engineer in the technical department, you are responsible, along with nine other collaborators, for the entire data center infrastructure. Your areas of expertise are essentially: • Participation and technical responsibility in various IT projects as well as in the introduction or development of new services and technologies • Provisioning, configuration and maintenance of Windows Hyper-V Cluster hosts, virtual Windows servers and our Active Directory • Responsible for the maintenance and development of our storage infrastructure (NetApp) and Cisco UCS • Co-responsible for the expansion, optimization and administration of the virtual desktop infrastructure in our Citrix environment • Analysis and resolution of system malfunctions • Responsible for the department's architecture and the realization of optimal solutions, coordinated at the platform scale • Definition and documentation of the corresponding standards for the relevant department You bring: • Completed basic training (CFC) in the IT field with continuing education (HF) or Bachelor / Master degree in IT • Training or experience in project or sub-project management • In-depth and practical knowledge in the fields of NetApp, Cisco UCS, virtualization (Hyper-V, Citrix) as well as excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Server environment (AD, DNS, DHCP, ADFS) required • Autonomous, solution-oriented and structured working methodology • Excellent oral and written expression in German as well as good knowledge of English What awaits you: • At the IT services of Thun, you will have an exciting overview of the various tasks of the municipal administration and will contribute to supporting them with our innovative IT solutions • Attractive employment conditions (for example, annual working time based on 41 h/week) and good social benefits • You benefit from internal and external field-specific continuing education opportunities • Workplace located in the center of Thun as well as the possibility to work partially via teleworking Contact For more information, please contact Thomas Liebler, technical manager
