The SVGW is the national professional organization of the water, gas, and heat utilities of Switzerland and contributes to the safe and sustainable supply of drinking water, gas, and heat through its guidelines, vocational training, the performance of state-relieving monitoring tasks, consulting services, as well as the certification of products, companies, and persons.

Inspector for Pipelines and Gas Networks
Your challenge
Technical inspection of gas systems
Examination and assessment of technical documents, work processes, etc.
Gas-technical consulting, issuing instructions and information
Participation in the maintenance and further development of the regulatory framework
Focus areas: Support of the gas networks and network operators within the scope of cantonal supervision according to Swiss pipeline legislation, as well as support of special pipeline projects such as, for example, hydrogen pipelines or CO2 pipelines
Participation in the examination and assessment of production and injection plants for renewable gases (biogas plants, hydrogen plants, methanization, etc.)
Participation in the organization and implementation of courses and conferences
Your competence
Degree as Dipl.-Ing. (University, Fachhochschule) or comparable
Experience in the field of gas network project management
Additional experience in the field of energy technology/plant construction is an advantage
Good understanding of guidelines and standards
Ability to formulate technical matters precisely in German
Flair for consulting and training tasks
Enjoyment in dealing with people
Italian, ösisch, as well as English skills are an advantage
