Senior Lab Technician - Process Safety

Your Role: You will play a key role in evaluating and understanding the safety aspects of chemical processes for development and commercial projects. In close collaboration with development chemists and the HSE team, you will contribute to process safety for their scale-up. You will also be at the heart of projects, from initial experimentation to transfer to pilot and production. Your main responsibilities - Plan, conduct, and interpret reactive safety studies (RC1, DSC, and other thermal analyses) - Perform laboratory tests related to development and process safety projects - Be a driving force in defining experimental strategies and improving process understanding - Collaborate with PDE, HSE, analytical, and commercial teams to ensure safe and robust processes - Participate in the continuous improvement of practices and tools related to process safety - Ensure rigorous documentation of results in the electronic notebook and participate in the writing of technical documents - Contribute to the maintenance of equipment and laboratory organization - Accompany and train less experienced colleagues, apprentices, and interns - Act as an ambassador of good safety practices within the laboratory Your Profile: CFC laboratory technician or equivalent education Solid knowledge of organic chemistry and chemical processes Practical experience in process safety or a strong interest in this field Knowledge of reactive safety tools (RC1, DSC) is a strong advantage Good understanding of HSE requirements and ideally GMP Scientific rigor, autonomy, and analytical spirit Sense of organization and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously Collaborative spirit and ability to share knowledge Fluent French; English is an asset Your Benefits: Flexible working hours allowing you to balance family, leisure, and professional life Free parking Health insurance: up to 10% discount on complementary insurance with our partners Generous and customizable share purchase plan Child allowance: Siegfried AG increases the legal cantonal allowance by 10% and pays an additional CHF 100 per month Individual continuing education opportunities Reka checks: Siegfried AG grants its employees a 20% discount Attractive company pension fund On-site sports courses and numerous company events Access to the Swibeco employee benefits platform 5 weeks of vacation and possibility of buying back up to 2 weeks Founded in 1873 in Zofingue, Switzerland, Siegfried has become a global network of 16 sites spread across three continents.
