The Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG) has nearly 1'500 collaborators and is a medical pole focused on the elderly, spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour, and Joli-Mont. It handles acute situations, thanks to the emergencies of the Hôpital des Trois-Chêne, specific problems related to age, medical rehabilitation, and palliative care. The Hôpital de Bellerive cares for patients with neurological pathologies and those in need of palliative care. These patients are hospitalized for short, medium, and long stays and are the subject of an interdisciplinary therapeutic project aiming for discharge at home or in a specialized establishment. Job Description ## As a nurse in a neurology unit at the Hôpital de Bellerive, including a sector of prolonged neurological care, you ensure, autonomously and/or under medical delegation, the global and personalized care of patients with complex neurological pathologies, such as brain-injured patients. You carry out increased surveillance of neurological symptoms to anticipate complications in patients with altered consciousness over a long period. You provide specific care such as tracheotomy care, suprapubic catheters, and long-term feeding tubes (PEG). You provide support to patients' families and create a care partnership by guiding them towards appropriate resources. Training in family support or interview management in difficult contexts is an asset. You work in an interprofessional team and coordinate the care services provided to patients. You also exercise a leadership and teaching function with trainees and new staff. Finally, you contribute to the development of care quality and conduct professional reflection based on the analysis of nursing care practices. Qualifications ## You have a Bachelor HES in nursing or an equivalent nursing diploma recognized by the Swiss Red Cross. Additional certified training in neurology or experience in neurological rehabilitation is a significant asset. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. You possess great rigor and a keen sense of organization and priority management. You demonstrate excellent relational skills and a marked interest in following patients with neurological pathologies. You show excellent analytical capacity for clinical situations. Thanks to your team spirit and communication skills, you work in interprofessionality to unite all partners around a common vision to develop care projects for the optimal care of patients and their loved ones. You appreciate collaboration and work in a multidisciplinary team. Ease with computer tools is necessary to carry out this mission, as well as a very good knowledge of the French language.
