Team Leader Hemodialysis (m/f/d)

The Spitalverbund Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the Akutspital Herisau and the Psychiatrische Zentrum AR in Herisau ensures the expanded basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care for the canton and beyond.

In the MTTB department under the leadership of Frau Jana Schmid, we are looking for a Team Leader Hemodialysis with a workload of 100% starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Technical and personnel leadership as well as targeted further development of the dialysis team
• Organization and coordination of the dialysis ward including personnel scheduling
• Ensuring high-quality, safe, and patient-oriented care
• Active participation in daily clinical life as well as performing demanding dialysis-specific treatments and shunt punctures
• Competent technical care of patients with hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis as well as after kidney transplants
• Promotion of interdisciplinary cooperation as well as continuous further development of processes and quality standards

Your profile

• Completed training as Dipl. Pflegefachperson HF or FH, with foreign diplomas having Swiss recognition
• Several years of professional experience in hemodialysis and profound dialysis-specific specialist knowledge
• Leadership experience, ideally in a comparable function in the healthcare sector
• Strong leadership and social competence as well as enjoyment in the development of employees
• Organizational strength, sense of responsibility, and independent way of working
• High patient orientation as well as enjoyment of constructive interdisciplinary cooperation
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form
