Penal System: Dipl. Nursing Specialist

We are looking for our client in a penal institution as of 01.03.2021 for an experienced, professionally competent and independent Dipl. Nursing Specialist (HF, DNII, Psych.), who can imagine caring for and accompanying people from different cultural backgrounds and extraordinary life situations. Requirement Profile ## • Versatile and exciting work in a dynamic institution • Diverse need-oriented internal and external further training opportunities • Training with tertiary degree (AKP, DNII, HF Nursing or Psychiatry) • Several years of professional experience in the acute care sector (if possible in the area of emergency, internal medicine and/or psychiatry) • Great understanding of people from different cultural backgrounds who are in an extraordinary life situation • Professionally and life-experienced personality who can remain calm, maintain an overview and set targeted priorities even in hectic situations • Very good knowledge of German (spoken and written), good knowledge of French or English (spoken) • High social competence and ability to work in a team • Strong sense of proximity and distance • Good PC skills are a prerequisite Tasks ## • Work assignments from Monday to Friday in a two-shift service and at least one weekend per month with on-call telephone service • Care and treatment of somatically and/or mentally ill inmates • Initial assessments for medical questions, emergencies, crisis intervention and the organizing of somatic and psychiatric doctor visits • Setting up and organizing necessary hospital admissions • Care and accompaniment of inpatient withdrawals from legal and illegal substances • Close cooperation with doctors, specialist departments and security personnel • Medical documentation and writing of reports General Information ## Location: Region Bern Region: Bern Degree of employment: 60% to 100% Type of employment: Permanent position Entry: 01.09.2026
