Together for strong teachers, speech therapists, special educators, school principals ## Head of Professional Practice and Professionalization (80-100%) (Part-time co-direction possible) # Haute école pédagogique FHNW, Institute for Secondary I and II ## Your tasks : As the head of the Professional Practice and Professionalization domain for Secondary I and II, you and your team are responsible for the conceptual development and operational implementation of the study domain of practical internships within the Secondary I and II curricula. Practical internships constitute a central pivot between professional knowledge and its implementation into practical knowledge. Consequently, you work in close collaboration with all other domains of the institute and bring your in-depth knowledge of teacher professionalization not only to the development of practical internships but also to the general development of the Secondary I and II curricula.  Your main tasks include:  • Personnel management and staff management  • Responsibility for the following domains of the Professional Practice and Professionalization Secondary I and II sector: • Acquisition and administration of internships and partner schools • Quality assurance of internships for the Secondary I and II curricula • Internal qualification and quality development for Secondary I and II practical internships • External qualification and quality development for Secondary I and II practical internships  • Internal coordination and networking with the other domains of the institute as well as within the network of domains and the thematic cluster "Professional Practice and Professionalization"  • Member of the management of the Institute for Secondary I and II: co-responsibility for the implementation and development of the Secondary I and II curricula as well as the institute Your profile : You are a communicative personality oriented towards teamwork, who evolves with confidence in both academic and school environments and enjoys taking on leadership roles. As a recognized personality with knowledge of the current challenges of the Swiss education system (including the compulsory school sector and the university landscape), you strengthen the team and contribute to the enhancement of the Institute for Secondary I and II. You possess great expertise and are well-anchored in the corresponding scientific community.  You also possess:  • A completed university degree in a discipline of educational sciences (including disciplinary didactics or disciplinary science related to the subject) with a doctorate  • A teaching degree and a reference at Secondary I or II levels preferred • Expertise in the field of practical internships and teacher professionalization • Several years of experience in school and university practice as well as in continuing education for Secondary I and II teachers, including university didactic aptitude  • Leadership experience in the academic field as well as management skills  • Proof of university didactic aptitude The uniqueness of FHNW is manifested in the combination of teaching and applied research as well as in collaboration with practice.
