It manages and coordinates government communication and develops its political planning. It organizes events attended by the Federal Council in corpore and provides support to the President of the Confederation in the exercise of this function. Furthermore, the Federal Chancellery organizes votes and elections at the federal level. It ensures contact with initiative committees and referendum committees and determines whether popular initiatives and referendums have succeeded or not.
