Radicalization prevention mission officer

Job description ## In your capacity as a radicalization prevention mission officer, you ensure individualized support for radicalized persons or those in the process of radicalization and act as an expert on all matters relating to radical ideologies. You participate in the development of the Unité de prévention des radicalisations (UPRAD), attached to the SG-DJES, which perpetuates the prevention mechanism for radicalization and violent extremism established by the Conseil d-Etat. At the request of the UPRAD managers, you ensure field support for radicalized persons or those in the process of radicalization by offering them individualized support, and deploy disengagement strategies in interaction with family surroundings and various partners. For further information, please consult the specifications by clicking here and/or contact Monsieur Serge Terribilini, Head of UPRAD, at 021 316 27 26 or serge.terribilini@vd.ch     Responsibilities ## • Individualized support for radicalized persons taken care of by the mechanism • Evaluation of monitored situations through contribution to the drafting of summary notes • Participation in the improvement of care on strategic and operational levels • Intervention as an expert on all matters relating to radical ideologies • Active support to the various entities and services involved in the prevention mechanism • Participation in the organization of the Unité de prévention des radicalisations (UPRAD) Qualifications ## • University Master's degree in the field of social sciences, education, social work, psychology or equivalent training required • Continuing education desired in the field of radicalization prevention • Experience in the social support of vulnerable or precarious persons, notably through field immersion, and in the care of radicalized persons • Ability to manage transversal projects and to conceptualize them • Knowledge of the security field and its challenges • Listening skills, spirit of mutual aid, discretion and sense of responsibility • Flexibility and availability outside usual hours to manage urgent situations WHO ARE WE? ## The Secrétariat général du Département de la jeunesse, de l-environnement et de la sécurité (DJES) supports the Head of Department in their role as a member of the governmental college and ensures strategic coordination.
