We are looking for a: Specialized Educator for the Specialized Day Center - Permanent contract between 80% and 100%. At the Institution de Lavigny, we provide daily support to adults presenting autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and/or challenging behaviors, including so-called complex situations for which auto- and hetero-aggressive type behavior disorders are associated. Our Specialized Day Center is open from Monday to Friday (and some Saturdays per year). Their reality is to support men and women aged 18 to 80 by offering them accessibility to activity. Your mission As part of the development of our services, we are looking for a specialized educator. The goal being to support people, through individualized care, outside of their living place in a reassuring and secure setting. Your main responsibilities • Ensure individualized educational support adapted to the specific needs of each person welcomed. • Design, implement and evaluate personalized educational projects. • Facilitate structured activities, developing skills, providing physical and mental well-being. • Prevent, understand and manage crisis situations or challenging behaviors by applying adapted educational approaches. • Collaborate closely with the educational teams of the accommodation as well as with the various partners of the network. • Participate in team meetings, institutional reflections and the writing of observations and reports. • Actively contribute to a secure, structuring and benevolent environment. Your profile • ES / HES diploma or title deemed equivalent • Confirmed experience with people presenting an intellectual disability, behavior disorders and/or an ASD. • Trained or sensitized to approaches: Functional, ABA, TEACCH, PECS, AAC (an asset) • Ability to analyze, manage stress and maintain perspective in the face of complex situations. • Excellent interpersonal skills and aptitude for working in a multidisciplinary team. • Sense of responsibility, creativity and professional commitment. • Mastery of standard IT tools and writing skills.
