Rowing Instructor 90% (CDI)

In order to complete the rowing school team, we are looking for a Rowing Instructor at 90% (CDI).

Mandatory criteria:
Proven experience of at least 5 years in teaching rowing, mainly in the areas of initiation, improvement, and leisure practice.
Good command of French; English is an asset.
Motorboat driving license, category B driving license and BE license (trailer).

Your mission:
As an experienced rowing instructor, you will lead and supervise the rowing school classes, both on the water and on land. Passionate about teaching rowing, you will intervene across the entire range of the Société Nautique de Genève rowing school, notably leisure rowing in initiation and improvement (for children and adults), school, university, inter-company, and Aviron Santé programs, as well as private lessons upon request.

Reporting directly to the Sports Director, you will rely on a team of assistant instructors to plan activities, coordinate sessions, and guarantee quality classes, in compliance with safety instructions.

Your main responsibilities:
Personally ensure the teaching and supervision of leisure rowing programs on water and on land, private lessons as well as other rowing programs offered by the school, at a rate of 10 to 20 hours per week depending on the season.
Contribute to the planning and coordination of sessions with assistant instructors.
Accompany assistant instructors and support their skill development.
Collaborate with the Sports Management and administration for the management and follow-up of activities.
Ensure the good condition, maintenance, and management of equipment and infrastructure related to the activity (rowing boats, motorboats, hangars, base du Rhône, vehicles, etc.).

Your profile:
Excellent pedagogical skills and the ability to adapt your teaching to audiences of different ages and levels.
A Jeunesse+Sport diploma, BPJEPS or an equivalent qualification is an asset.
Good command of common IT tools (Microsoft Office, Teams) and ease with administrative tasks.
Sense of organization, autonomy, team spirit, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Flexibility, availability, and ability to adapt to the seasonal rhythm of the activity.

Contract type: Permanent contract (CDI)
Activity rate: 90% annualized
Start date: from 1 February 2027
Main place of work: Société Nautique de Genève, Quai de Cologny 1, 1223 Cologny
Working time organization: Working time is subject to annualized distribution, allowing for periods of high activity to be compensated by a reduction in hours during the winter period.
