What you can contribute

• Process and develop projects, calculation tools and data, particularly in the fields of life cycle assessments and greenhouse gas balances; ensure quality control of eco-inventories in the construction sector
• Develop and update the <<Corporate Footprint Calculator>> as well as the federal administration's life cycle assessment database
• Improve implementation and control instruments in the field of circular economy and perform, for example, checks regarding the availability of spare parts
• Research information on current and future themes of environmental research
• Analyze data from projects carried out in the fields of environmental research and the promotion of environmental technologies
• Collaborate on the drafting of the Environment research master plan 2029--2032 and on the preparation of the Federal Council report on the promotion of environmental technologies 2022--2026

What makes you unique

• University degree in engineering, environmental sciences or natural sciences
• Experience in the field of life cycle assessment (ideally with OpenLCA), a taste for numerical data analysis and programming knowledge (Python, R and Excel)
• Knowledge in the fields of resource-efficient production, innovative technologies and circular economy
• Autonomous, structured and rigorous working method, spirit of initiative and commitment
• Good oral and written expression and active knowledge of a second official language
