The Asia Company (TAC) is a growing, family-run Swiss company based in Münchenstein (BL). We specialize in the import and distribution of Asian food products and supply customers from gastronomy, wholesale, and retail throughout Switzerland.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a reliable, organized, and dedicated personality to manage our international goods imports, starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Organization, coordination, and monitoring of our international goods imports from Asia, Europe, and other countries of origin
• Management of the entire transport chain – from overseas transport via European onward transport to delivery at our location in Switzerland
• Continuous monitoring of shipments, delivery dates, and transport processes, as well as coordination in case of delays or deviations
• Close cooperation and communication with international suppliers, freight forwarders, transport service providers, and customs agents
• Examination and control of supplier and transport documents for completeness and accuracy
• Control of freight forwarding and transport invoices, as well as verification of agreed freight rates and conditions
• Examination of import customs clearances and customs invoices, particularly regarding the applied customs rates, as well as clarification of any discrepancies with the responsible customs agents
• Coordination of deliveries with our internal logistics and the responsible departments

Depending on workload and experience, you will also take on tasks in purchasing:

• Recording and processing orders with our international suppliers
• Monitoring order confirmations, delivery dates, and order status
• Support in the coordination and planning of our goods procurement

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a freight forwarding clerk (Speditionskaufmann/-frau) or commercial training with corresponding professional experience in freight forwarding or import processing
• Good knowledge of international transport and import processes, ideally in the field of sea freight
• Basic knowledge of Swiss customs processing and a good understanding of transport and customs documents
• Good written and spoken English skills for communication with international business partners
• Good German skills as well as confident handling of MS Office
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage
• Structured, independent, and careful way of working with a good eye for details and numbers
• Organizational talent, sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of working with various contact persons
• Openness to questioning existing processes and contributing ideas for improvement
