As a trainee with us, you will take on the assessment of objections against tax assessments of natural persons throughout the entire canton. You will dive deep into complex cases, work independently, and never be alone – because an experienced team will be by your side with advice and support. Here you will learn how modern tax law works in practice – hands-on, varied, and with real responsibility.

Steuerverwaltung

The Steuerverwaltung Basel-Landschaft bears the responsibility for the correct collection of taxes from legal and natural persons. Its employees check tax returns, carry out assessments, and ensure the collection of state and direct federal tax. Additionally, the collection of municipal taxes is also carried out on behalf. Other tasks include the assessment and collection of real estate capital gains taxes, property transfer taxes, as well as inheritance and gift taxes, as well as the processing of withholding taxes. Furthermore, the Steuerverwaltung ensures uniform assessment practice in the canton by providing technical supervision and support to the municipal tax offices.
