As Head or Head of Clinic, with or without a specialty title, you ensure the quality of medical services in the care units of your area of expertise. You coordinate practical activities as well as diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients who are entrusted to you in close collaboration with deputy doctors. Evolution in a stimulating university environment, within an interdisciplinary team, you also contribute to the training of internal medicine doctors. You participate in clinical research activities and start, according to your personal interest, a quality or clinical research project with specific supervision. You hold a federal diploma of doctor or have training deemed equivalent by the Commission of Medical Professions of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO). You benefit or are close to obtaining the FMH specialty title in general internal medicine. With an FMH specialty title, you must have a practice license in the canton of Geneva. For non-Francophone candidates, a French level C1 in spoken and written tests is required. You are a person with good communication skills in an interdisciplinary team and with patients, you are dynamic, flexible and committed. Counting nearly 1’500 collaborators, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics constitutes a medical pole centered on the elderly and is spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour (Stern) and Joli-Mont. It takes care of acute situations, thanks in particular to geriatric emergencies and intermediate care of the Trois-Chênes Hospital, acute units some of which are centered on geriatric syndromes, geriatric rehabilitation units, musculoskeletal, cardiological, neurological and oncological, and long-stay units. It also includes a specialized palliative care service, a community geriatrics unit, a geriatrics liaison unit and the Centre de la mémoire. The position in question concerns the internal medicine and rehabilitation service of Beau-Séjour which welcomes people requiring acute general internal medicine care (36 beds) as well as people requiring internal medicine rehabilitation and specialized cardiac rehabilitation care (52 beds) involving multidisciplinary teams, in particular after a stay in acute care.
