What you can achieve ###

• Supervision and own consultation activity in the outpatient internal medicine consultations and specialist consultations, especially regarding hypertension, lipid disorders, and tobacco prevention, at university level, as well as collaboration in the Center for Hypertension of Universitätsspital Basel
• Care of outpatient patients of the day clinic, e.g., during infusions, transfusions, and punctures
• Supervision and evaluation of internal medicine diagnostics, including outpatient blood pressure measurements, spirometry, and nocturnal pulse oximetry
• Performance and supervision of sonographic examinations, depending on the level of knowledge, is desired
• Participation in clinically oriented scientific studies; the contribution of own scientific ideas is welcome
• Active participation in student teaching as well as in continuing education and advanced training programs and assumption of organizational tasks of the clinic

What you bring with you ###

• Specialist title in General Internal Medicine or shortly before completion; an additional specialist title or an upcoming completion, e.g., in endocrinology, nephrology, or cardiology, is an advantage
• Clinical prior experience in the field of outpatient internal medicine and emergency medicine
• Knowledge in hypertensiology and/or special interest in this field
• Knowledge in sonography is an advantage
• High teamwork skills and enjoyment of interprofessional and interdisciplinary cooperation
• Foreign language skills are an advantage due to the linguistic diversity of our patients
