Business Analyst

In this role, you will shape the further development of a business-critical coding solution at the interface of IT, logistics, and automated sorting systems. With you, we ensure reliable, future-oriented processing of shipments throughout Switzerland.

What you can achieve

• You analyze and document functional as well as technical needs and derive clear, actionable system requirements and specifications from them according to defined standards.
• Together with specialist departments, IT units, and software suppliers, you develop solution variants, clarify interfaces, dependencies, and impacts on existing processes, thereby contributing your expertise optimally.
• You coordinate changes between business, IT, operations, and external partners and accompany them from the requirement to the productive introduction.
• You plan releases, create test concepts and test cases, perform integration tests, and ensure production readiness together with those involved.
• You analyze incidents across various systems, interfaces, and processing steps, identify their causes using logs, monitoring data, and alerts, and derive sustainable solutions for stabilizing and optimizing operations.
• You help shape the technological further development of our application landscape and use modern, including AI-supported, tools in a targeted manner.
• Together with the team, you ensure reliable operation and take on regular daily and on-call duties.

What you bring with you

• You have a university degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related field and bring several years of experience in business analysis, application management, system and integration engineering, or IT operations.
• You can translate functional needs into technical requirements and mediate confidently between business, operations, development, and external partners.
• You are enthusiastic about complex systems, interfaces, and asynchronous message flows and you analyze error patterns in a structured manner using logs and monitoring data, thereby making a valuable contribution.
• You bring experience with tests and releases and take responsibility from analysis to introduction; knowledge in AWS, Kubernetes, APIs, Kafka, MQTT, Splunk, Grafana, or image and text recognition is an advantage.
• You communicate very well orally and in writing in German and English, work independently as well as methodically, and actively participate in agile teams.

You are ready to work regularly in Bern as well as on-site at parcel and letter center locations throughout Switzerland if required.
