Manufacturing Engineer (Fix-Term, 24 months, 80-100%)

Männedorf, Zürich

Your contribution

In this demanding and important role, you are responsible for ensuring that products from development and change projects are transitioned into serial production on time and cleanly. You ensure the efficient and economical procurement and producibility of products, assemblies, and individual parts and undertake the technical support of the assigned products. In addition, you ensure efficient processing of changes and work with our worldwide production sites and suppliers. Occasional travel (20%) is required.

Your tasks

• Participation in development projects starting at milestone M2 at the latest, to represent production technology aspects
• Planning and implementation of production line validations (PLV) as well as creation of production flowcharts, FMEA, and assembly instructions
• Construction, creation, and procurement of assembly and production aids as well as setting up assembly workstations
• Training of internal and external production employees in production technology matters
• Processing and documentation of changes to assigned products, including error and root cause analysis
• Support of the purchasing group with technical questions and evaluation of new suppliers

Your profile

• Basic mechanical or electronic training (e.g., toolmaker, polymechanic or similar)
• Further training as Betriebsfachmann BF/TS or HF desirable
• At least 5 years of professional experience, at least partially in a regulated environment
• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written
• Very good MS Office skills, SAP skills desirable
• Communicative, independent, efficient, and practical way of working
