You ensure the entire reprocessing process of medical devices, from reception to storage, including pretreatment, cleaning and disinfection. You take charge of the reprocessing of endoscopes, notably the use of endoscope washer-disinfectors (LDE), as well as the preparation and dilution of disinfection products, in strict compliance with procedures and the traceability of the material.

You participate in the maintenance and tidying of examination rooms to guarantee a clean, organized and functional environment for the smooth running of examinations.

You have the professionalism and tact necessary to be able to inform interlocutors in the interventional rooms in case of questions or problems with the equipment.

You know how to adapt to unforeseen events and variations in workload thanks to your flexibility, your sense of organization and your ability to manage priorities.

You are aware of the responsibilities that fall to you and the importance of your actions towards your interlocutors and the patients.

This process is part of good practices and in compliance with the quality policy implemented in the department.

You hold a CFC in medical device technology or an equivalent training deemed as such with at least 1 year of experience in hospital sterilization.

You have a good command of spoken and written French (minimum B2 level required).

You have a sense of rigor in following procedures, reactivity, you demonstrate autonomy and have a keen sense of priorities.

Your interpersonal ease, your team spirit and your sense of service allow you to work and collaborate easily within a multidisciplinary team (doctors, caregivers, sterilization, PCI and biomedical).

You are comfortable in demanding environments and know how to demonstrate adaptability, team spirit, self-control and physical endurance.

The Service of gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition takes charge, on non-surgical diagnostic and therapeutic levels, of female or male patients suffering from diseases of the digestive tract, liver, bile ducts and pancreas, taking into account the services provided by other services of the HUG. It ensures the endoscopic, percutaneous and transhepatic interventional services of the aforementioned organs. It actively participates in the Centre des affections hépato-biliaires et pancréatiques: reference center in Switzerland. More than 1000 cases per year are discussed there. It takes charge of female or male patients suffering from liver, bile duct and pancreas disease. These cases, most often complex, require the opinion of several specialists.
