CNC 5-axis machine Operator-Setter M/F

Job mission:
Preparation, setting, and optimization of 5-axis CNC machines for shot blasting. Perform shot blasting operations on customer parts or internal parts while ensuring production conforms to quality, deadline, and productivity requirements

Main tasks:

• Preparation and setting of 5-axis CNC machines for shot blasting of prototypes or production series
• Optimize machining parameters to ensure the best quality and the most efficient cycle times
• Perform tool changes, program fine-tuning, and necessary adjustments for startup
• Inspect first pieces and validate conformity before launching the series
• Machining of prototypes or production series on the set machines
• Assist and support operators in their daily tasks (training, troubleshooting, inspection)
• Collaborate closely with the sector manager and the quality department to guarantee production conformity.
• Regular control of machine zeros according to the pre-established schedule

Control tasks:

• Ensure machining quality after each piece
• Find a balance between quality and tool consumption
• Immediately inform the superior in case of breakdown or malfunction of the work tool

Organization:

• Use of adequate fixtures (request new fixtures if necessary)
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the machining process and to the reduction of machine downtime.
• Actively participate in first-level maintenance and report any technical anomaly
• Leave the work area clean in case of machine change and at the end of the day
• Return precious material production series to the safe at noon and in the evening
• Return other production series to the safe at the end of the day
• Be mobile on the different machines depending on production needs

Desired profile:

• Training in polymechanics, micromechanics, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in CNC setting and machining (5-axis, ideally Fanuc).
• Knowledge of CHIRON Micro 5, Willemin-Macodel W308-S2 and 408-S2 machines constitutes a major asset.
• Mastery of reading technical drawings and measuring tools.
• Good understanding of machining processes and materials used.
• Ability to work in an autonomous, rigorous, and organized manner.
• Team spirit, proactivity, and sense of priorities.
