Accounting and Finance Specialist (60%)

The Service d'architecture et du logement is a planning, building, and support service that ensures the consideration of all public policies related to the built environment and housing.

In order to strengthen our systems, operations, and support domain, we are creating a new position for an accounting and finance specialist.

Main mission(s)

Ensure the management and control of current and specific accounting operations of the service, as well as the monitoring and justification of accounts

Participate in accounting closings and settlements, perform necessary adjustments and reconciliations, and prepare documents intended for hierarchy and control bodies

Guarantee the quality of financial data by controlling allocations, invoices, and supporting documents, by identifying anomalies and ensuring their correction

Produce the monitoring tables, analyses, and reports necessary for managing the activity

Manage accounting operations related to construction projects: establishment of purchase orders, processing of awards and invoices

Ensure the financial monitoring of construction projects: budgets, commitments, costs, revenues, allocations, management of down payments, payments, and guarantees

Participate in the settlements of construction projects, notably through the establishment of statements, situations, and adjustment entries

Take charge of specific accounting or financial projects and collaborate with the various stakeholders concerned

Profile

Federal Certificate of Capacity as a commercial employee or training deemed equivalent

Federal Diploma of Accountant or title deemed equivalent, required

At least 5 years of experience in a similar function

Very good knowledge of public accounting and applicable standards and regulations (LCCOM, RCCOM)

Experience in managing accounting and financial projects

Very good mastery of Excel and ease with data analysis tools

Experience with an ERP, ideally Abacus or SAP, as well as AbaProjet or a similar financial management tool for projects

Knowledge of construction cost codes (CFC) and/or training in construction project cost management, an asset

Excellent analytical skills, rigor, and organizational sense

Ease in communication and collaboration with various interlocutors
