Job description Set up job subscription   Pricing Specialist / Actuary SME Product Management (f/m/d) # Insurance Directorate / Bern  / Experienced  / Permanent/ 80% What awaits you ## In this function, you are part of the SME Product Management team and take on a decisive role in the development and pricing of our entire SME product - business and property insurance. The role forms the interface between product management, actuariating, and controlling. It is aimed at experienced professionals from the insurance industry who want to contribute their actuarial expertise and analytical know-how to the technical management, profitability development, and further development of products and tariffs. What you achieve with us ## As part of your role, you are responsible for the technical further development and management of the tariffs of our SME products. You analyze portfolio, market, and profitability developments, identify the need for action, and derive concrete measures for the further development of our pricing strategy from them. In doing so, you work closely with actuariating as well as controlling and take on a central interface function.   You use data, analyses, and existing models to manage the profitability of our products, to identify the need for action at an early stage, and to make well-founded decisions for the further development of products and tariffs. In doing so, you develop evaluations and automations with Python and SQL, visualize relevant findings for different stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous further development of our pricing and management instruments. Additionally, you take on a central role in the financial planning and management of the SME portfolio and provide the necessary reporting and decision-making bases for technical and management decisions.   Furthermore, you are involved in cross-departmental projects for the further development of our SME products and pricing processes and actively contribute your actuarial expertise. What you bring with you ## • Completed studies (FH/Uni) in mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, or a comparable field of study • At least 3 years of professional experience in a quantitatively oriented role, for example in the area of pricing, actuariating, or product management • Sound understanding of insurance products, tariff mechanisms, as well as profitability and portfolio management • Demonstrable experience in the analysis, modeling, and calculation of insurance products as well as in handling large amounts of data • Very good programming skills in Python and SQL; the independent development of analyses, automations, and evaluations is part of your daily work routine • Experience with modern data and analysis platforms such as Databricks, Power BI, or comparable tools • Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to prepare complex relationships in an understandable way and communicate them in a target-group-oriented manner • Independent, structured, and implementation-strong personality with strong communication skills • Very good German skills in speaking and writing; French and English are an advantage Work with us ## A professional and dynamic team awaits you in a motivating and innovative working atmosphere with state-of-the-art infrastructure.  What we offer ## Compatibility ##### We enable flexible working models and offer 20 weeks of maternity leave as well as 6 weeks of paternity leave, above-average family allowances, and a sustainably financed pension fund.
