Portrait of the school/institution ### Die gibb Berufsfachschule Bern is a vocational school of the Canton of Bern. We teach around 7'000 young people in more than 60 commercial-industrial professions and train approximately 1'000 professionals in part-time higher vocational education (HBB). Teacher for the Vocational Preparatory Year Practice and Integration (BPI), 80-100% ### gibb Berufsfachschule Bern 3000 Bern 22 Tasks ### As one of two class teachers, you are responsible for the instruction in a BPI-1 class. You teach adolescents and young adults in general education subjects with a focus on language acquisition. In addition to the subject content, occupational choice and the promotion of social skills as well as strengthening self-efficacy are at the center of the BPI classes. You supervise and accompany the learners as a class teacher and teach mostly in team teaching. Requirements ### You possess a teaching diploma for secondary level I or II. Ideally, you also bring knowledge in the field of special education and/or in German as a Second Language (DaZ) as well as experience in working with young migrants. Experience in accompanying learners in the occupational choice process is an advantage. You have an interest in further training as a language proficiency examiner or already possess this qualification.
