Microscopy & Analytics Expert

In this specialist role, you will analyze and evaluate materials and plastic components using optical and spectroscopic investigation methods.

Tasks

• Analysis and assessment of materials and plastic components using optical investigation methods
• Performance of IR measurements as well as interpretation and evaluation of the spectra
• Evaluation, documentation and preparation of investigation results in technical reports
• Creation and maintenance of basic and reference data for plastics
• Evaluation, development and introduction of new analysis and investigation methods
• Collaboration in interdisciplinary projects with production, R&D and other specialist departments
• Creation and maintenance of a network to external testing laboratories including coordination of external investigations

Profile

• Higher degree in materials science, plastics technology, chemistry or comparable field of study or qualified training as a chemistry or physics laboratory technician
• At least two years of professional experience in an analytically oriented laboratory or industrial environment
• Structured, careful and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize connections
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues in an understandable manner
• Good German and English skills
